When ordering from LaLobaDesign you will be given an approximate time to expect for your order to arrive at the agreed upon destination. Every effort will be taken to fill your order on time. We will not sacrifice quality for time in building your furniture. Our production takes place in another country and is shipped to the USA and delays can occur which are out of our direct control. We do not regard such delays as reason for refund. We are not able to refund your payment once an order has been added to our production line. We will provide you with at least one update as to the status of your order if requested.
Dimensions, weights, design features and hardware may vary slightly from the pictures shown online as all products are handmade. We know you appreciate that artwork is not science, but instead, consider it a privilege to enjoy it’s hand-crafted features - much like one enjoys a fine bottle of wine.
LaLobaDesign products are built completely by hand, using premium quality
wood products. Variations will occur and may be evident in your furniture,
especially when painted in lighter shades. We celebrate variation as one
of the qualities of this fine artwork, and strive to maintain the unique
character of this handmade furniture. We know you too will enjoy "la
LaLoba is functional artwork and as such, is signed by the artist just as a painting on canvas.
Each piece is hand painted with acrylic paints, stained and further coated with a polyurethane product meant to protect the vivid color of your piece. From raw wood, to finished product, the multi-stepped process is 100% hand-crafted. Small variations in color will occur from piece to piece because of the nature of the lumber and due to the fact that paint is mixed. At completion, every piece of furniture must meet our standard for color and consistent quality. The furniture shown online is only an example and cannot be duplicated exactly. We will make every effort to replicate colors and designs you request, but they will never be identical.
LaLobaDesign accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express or money orders via (Western Union and MoneyGram).
Full payment is required for "in stock" furniture at the time of order. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for custom or made to order furniture. This deposit places your order in our production line. The balance is due upon completion of the furniture and 10 days prior shipping from Mexico. Failure to remit the balance due may delay your order for up to 6 months as shipments are consolidated and infrequent.
Although we make every effort to honor our published prices, they are subject to change without prior notice. Once we have accepted your order with deposit, the price of your piece is guaranteed. Shipping charges are quoted individually. Shipping prices seen here are based on past shipments, but shipment costs fluctuate depending on particulars i.e. quantity, weight, shippers and point of entry charges. Priced here are FOB, Austin, Texas or El Cerrito, California. We reserve the right to pass on additional shipping charges when necessary.
Most of our products are made to order and do not exist until you ‘contract with us’ to have them made. Custom or made to order pieces cannot be cancelled without forfeiture of your deposit. Please consider your purchase carefully.
LaLobaDesign may at any time revise these Terms and Conditions by updating this posting. You are bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the current Order and Usage Terms and Conditions to which you are bound.
If you would like to carry our products please submit your company information with the name of your contact person, address, phone/fax numbers, and website. Ours is not a business of mass production and we do not hold large stocks of inventory. Where we shine is in the ability to customize your pieces so that you may present quality, handmade artwork that your customers will not see elsewhere.
Shipping method will be discussed with you upon ordering. Ground Shipping from our California location will be arranged at the same time and will be made COD only. If you are unable to take delivery for more than 5 days, storage charges will be assessed beginning day 6 at the rate of $25 or more per day, based on size of shipment.
Arranging delivery can be difficult to coordinate between carrier and personal schedules. We do our very best to accommodate your needs and we ask for your understanding in arranging delivery.
All furniture crates are inspected and in good condition when they leave us. If shipped to you, all of your furniture should arrive at your door in good shape. Should any damage occur in transit, it will be your responsibility to bring that damage to the attention of the shipper and report to us within 24 hours of delivery. Damage occuring en route is the responsibility of the shipping company. For this reason, it is highly recommended that you inspect your furniture crates immediately upon arrival. Photographs of the crates themselves are very useful in determining where the damage occurred. Obvious damage to the packaging may or may not indicate damage. Upon opening the crated product, if you discover damaged merchandize, you may accept it conditionally making sure to note this on the shippers bill of lading. Take photographs of any damage, on the spot. Then contact us immediately regarding your findings to enable us to make a claim with the carrier. Most damage can be and will be repaired very satisfactorily.

Therefore, LaLobaDesign does not offer a return policy. However if you believe a return is your only solution, we expect you to pay for the shipping charges both ways along with a restocking charge of 50% of the original purchase price.
If you experience any failure of your product due to quality of craftsmanship,
please contact us immediately. Within the first year of your purchase, LaLobaDesign
will replace malfunctioning hardware.
It will be necessary to take photos of such damage or defect. Photos should be sent to LaLobaDesign in a digitized format to enable us to assess any defect or damage. If the defect or damage passes as a manufacturer's defect, We will advise you to 1) get an estimate for a repair, or 2) will authorize a replacement.
If shipped to you, all of your furniture should arrive at your door in good shape. Should any damage occur in transit, it will be your responsibility to bring that damage to the attention of the shipper and report to us within 24 hours of delivery. We promise to handle your complaint promptly covering product repair or replacement when necessary. (see shipping damage)
Normal shrinkage, swelling, hairline cracks and minor warpage is to be expected
and is not a structural defect.
Your special piece of LaLoba furniture requires some, (but not much) routine maintenance. Care for your furniture like the fine product it is and it will serve you for years. Note that we do not recommend furniture polish or wax agents. The finish will not absorb polish. It is much easier and better for the piece to wipe it with soft cotton cleaning rag, very slightly dampened with clear water. Furniture will spot and ring if water or hot items are placed on it’s surface. The use of detergents, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents will destroy the protected surface of the furniture, as will abuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents: including burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations or pet damage.
